Fun Facts about me:

Retirement: Most people think of retirement as a time to relax. For me, retiring at 36 from my job as a Navy Chief Meteorologist/Oceanographer allowed me to pursue my passion Ė writing romance novels. With 29 moves behind me and having traveled through many more countries, I was anxious to create characters who reflected the amazing cultures and people Iíve met over the years.

Qualifications I achieved while in the Navy:

.Aviation Warfare (AW)

.Master Instructor [Air Force Designation]

.Master Training Specialist [Navy Designation]

Travel: Various facts that intrigued me from some of the places Iíve traveled:
-Belgiumís amazing World War II history.
-The beer in Germany! I need not say more. :)
-Bartering for cab rides in Seoul, Korea, then zig zagging through the busy streets.
-The gorgeous jungles of the Phillippines and a ride in a jeepnee.
-Fishing and horseback riding in Alaska, where I went to high school. Go eagles!
-Hiking across Kilauea in Hawaii, the worlds most active volcano, prior to it's eruption.
-Night diving in Guam, which has incredible bioluminescence, beautiful tropical fish and coral.
-Spain, itís incredible food, giving people, rich history and Flamenco dancing.
-Best cup of hot cocoa ever was in Portugal. I canít forget the shopping. :)
-Camel riding in Morocco, where I reenlisted for my last tour in the Navy.
-France has some of the most interesting trees and landscapes Iíve ever seen.
-The craziest car ride in my life was through the streets of Tijuana, Mexico.
-Neatest flight was with the Marine crew I met up with in Kadina, Japan, who flew myself and my girlfriend to the Philippines.
-Cohoggin in Rhode Island.
-Walleye fishing in Vermont.
-Treasure Island, CA., where I had the opportunity to watch the fog roll in and go horseback riding on the beach.
-Bass fishing in Ocala, Florida.
*I am looking forward to traveling to Scotland, where several of the ten historical novels Iíve written are based.

Ten Novels: Iíve written ten novels to date. Three were viking novels set in 796, and six were about knights set in Scotland during the Bruce/Wallace era. Iíve also created a fictional precinct in Virginia Beach and have written the rough draft of my first romantic suspense. In the future, I intend to write fantasy novels - for which Iíve already begun research work on.

Goals: I have many passions in life, but one that resonates in my life is that of giving. I firmly believe that each of us can make a positive difference in another personís life. There are so many charities that I believe in. Once I begin selling my novels, I will tithe a percentage of each novel to a charity of my choice.

My Family: I have an amazing family and am proud of my husband, who drag races semi-pro, http://members.cox.net/bobcosby/, and my three children who are very active within the community.

Texas bound yaíll: The future holds many changes, including a much anticipated move to Texas where weíll dig deep roots. After twenty-nine moves in my life, Iím ready to call somewhere home. Iím looking forward to being an active part in the Texas community and what can I say, those cowboys arenít hard to look at. :)
Fun life moment: I began my last tour in the Navy by re-enlisting on the back of a camel in Tangier, Africa.

And last but not least, here's my baby, Duncan Trevor MacGregor!
